Mini French Lesson |  What is she doing?

In this lesson, we learn how to ask many questions with “Qu’est-ce que…?” We use verbs and vocabulary from recent mini lessons in our examples. It’s review time! We also learn how the letter l is sometimes pronounced as a y. Easy stuff!

Qu’est-ce que tu achètes?

What are you buying?


J’achète du vin.

I’m buying (some) wine.

Qu’est-ce qu’elle achète?

What is she buying?


Elle achète quelque chose à manger.

She’s buying something to eat.


Elle achète à manger (Short version).


Qu’est-ce que tu achètes?

What are you buying?


J’achète du pain.

I’m buying some bread.


Qu’est-ce qu’elle achète?

What is she buying?


Elle achète un billet de train.

She’s buying a train ticket.

Qu’est-ce qu’elles font?

What are they doing?


Elles font du shopping.

They’re (doing some) shopping.


Qu’est-ce qu’ils font?

What are they doing?


Ils font du sport.

They’re exercising.


faire du sport

to exercise – to play a sport


Qu’est-ce que tu fais?

What are you doing?


Je fais la cuisine.

I’m (doing the) cooking.


Qu’est-ce qu’elle fait?

What is she doing?


Elle fait la sieste.

She’s taking (doing) a nap.

    In the transcript you have a repetition or redundancy:

    Qu’est-ce qu’elle fait?
    What is she doing?

    Qu’est-ce qu’elle fait?
    What is she doing?

    I do not see a reason for this.

    These lessons are constructed very well for the beginner French student to grasp the subject.

    very easy to learn.It would be more useful more nouns (objects ) are given.The learner can pick up the language quickly.
