    I don’t understand why the ‘ille’ in ‘tranquille’ is not pronounced as ‘je’ (i semivowel + e), like in ‘fille’, ‘famille’… I hope we get to that in time.

    By the way, I really enjoy your videos. I’ve bought the weekly lessons and I’m in the first module. I’m Brazilian, but I’m learning French via English because there are not many Portuguese/French courses online.

      Bonjour Victor! Good question! This is an exception to the general rule. We have a saying in French: It’s not a rule unless there is an exception to it…. You just found the exception to that rule. :)
