In this French lesson, we learn “où” (where) and use in questions like “Where are you?”… “Where is she?”… “Where are you going?”… We learn the nouns for different rooms in the house and how to say “my bedroom”, “my office”.

I’m going to the office. (place of work)

Ils sont au cinéma.

They’re at the movie theater.

Where are you? (plural)

Nous sommes au bar.

We’re at the bar.

On est au bar.

We’re at the bar.

On is often used in place of nous (we).

It is conjugated like he or she.

Où êtes-vous?

Where are you?

On est dans un bar.

We’re in a bar. (the building)
